The lesson? Just order stuff for yourself!

Club PALS was a blast this week.  Our overall lesson this time around is Responsibility.  We see examples of responsibility each week by looking at nature, to the Bible, and in history.  This time we were learning about being ‘green.’  For a lot of our centers, we were focusing on the power of our imaginations, and learning to rely a little less on other sources of power for entertainment.

We did crossword puzzles, made electromagnets and played with cars and tops.  But the hit of the day were the boxes.  The theory that kids have more fun with the box the toy came in than the toy itself was certainly upheld at KidsROCK Club PALS this week!

Even the teens in my house spent free time ‘instant messaging’ one another on their self-made computers.  The irony that many of the boxes were turned into iPods, iPads, Facebook pages, computer games, robots and laptop computers wasn’t lost on us giggling moms.

It was a wonderful day of play!
